Met ongeveer 100 leeuwen die in de buurt leven, heeft het zelfs een van de hoogste leeuwendichtheden ter wereld. De grootste trots in de Greater Mara-regio &#8211; bestaande uit 20 leeuwen &#8211; heeft van het reservaat zijn thuis gemaakt. Natuurlijk zou zo&#8217;n gezonde leeuwenpopulatie niet mogelijk zijn zonder een even gezonde voedselketen voor wilde dieren eronder. Het is ook de thuisbasis van de zeldzame wilde hond van Kenia. Naast de overvloed aan inwonend wild, dient de Mara Naboisho Conservancy ook als een migratiecorridor voor enkele honderdduizenden dieren tussen het Masai Mara National Reserve en de Loita Plains in het oosten. Het bestaan van de Mara Naboisho Conservancy zorgt ervoor dat migratiecycli en -patronen niet worden verstoord of gedwongen te veranderen.
