Established in 1946 as Kenya’s first national park, it is the only protected area in the world where you can photograph a wild lion or a rhino with a backdrop of shimmering city skyscrapers. Just 7km from Nairobi’s bustling Central Business District, this 117-square-kilometer sanctuary offers a «quick safari fix» for business travelers, families, and those on a layover.

• The High-Concentration Season: As the plains turn to gold, wildlife becomes easier to spot as animals congregate around the permanent man-made dams and the Mbagathi River. The shorter grass makes tracking lions and cheetahs much more predictable.

• The Birthing & Renewal Season: During the transitional periods, the park is filled with young gazelles, zebras, and impalas. This influx of «easy prey» leads to high activity among the park’s resident lion prides, offering a thrilling look at nature’s rawest moments.
