Perfect Tour Company When my wife and I decided to go on safari we had no idea which company to go with. After a great deal of research and selecting 12 companies I gradually crossed each one off before I arrived with Mufasa and I believe I made the correct decision. From my initial contact with them to being dropped off at the airport for our flight home Mufasa were magnificent. Polly was my point of contact at Mufasa and she was one of the major factors why we went with them. She responded instantly to my first email and her enthusiasm was clear for us to see. I gave her a rough idea of the itinerary I was looking for and she fine tuned this to perfection. She filled us with confidence, something that was welcomed for a couple going on their first proper safari, and anytime I contacted her with any questions she replied extremely quickly.
A day before we were due to fly to Nairobi we had a problem with our flights ( booked independently) which meant we would be arriving five hours earlier than planned, I contacted Polly who assured me that all would be fine at the Nairobi end and she would make sure that the hotel would be fully aware of our new arrival time.
After arriving at Nairobi airport we were met by John and Jim, two staff members from Mufasa, who took us to the Tamarind Tree hotel for our overnight stay. During our drive to the hotel Polly rang to check that we had arrived safely and everything was okay, this was at 10pm on a Sunday evening!
The following morning we were met by Mary another staff member who expertly took us through our itinerary just to make sure we knew exactly what the holiday entailed and also we were able to ask any last minute questions. Mary then introduced us to Odhis who was going to be our guide/driver for the next five days.
Odhis is the kind of person you dream about, a stranger one minute, your friend the next minute. A kind and warm-hearted man who immediately puts you at ease.
Our holiday consisted of three nights in the Masai Mara, one night at Lake Naivasha, a visit to a tea plantation before making our way back to Nairobi for our flight home. The safari was when Odhis came into his own for his knowledge and instinct, he excelled in knowing to be in the right place at the right time. He asked us if there was any special animals we wanted to see, we told him Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards plus Hyenas, for the first couple of safaris this is what he concentrated on and he gave us a magical time. All together we saw forty four Lions, eight Lion Cubs, two Leopards, seven cheetahs and over a dozen Hyenas. On our first dusk drive we also got to see close up a Black Rhino. There was never any rush when viewing all the animals, Odhis gave us as much time as we wanted and it was clear to see that he took much enjoyment in seeing us being thrilled at all the different animals.
During our holiday we stayed at the Tamarind Tree Hotel (Nairobi), Keekorok Lodge (Masai Mara) and Sopa Lodge (Lake Naivasha). We more more than happy with all accommodation especially the Sopa Lodge which was very impressive.
I would recommend Mufasaa Tours and Travels to anyone wanting a thoroughly professional company who look after you, put you at ease, have staff who are kind caring and knowledgeable. My wife and I plan to return to Kenya in early 2024 and there is no doubts whatsoever that I will be contacting Polly and we will be using Mufasa once again.

A special thanks to our driver and guide Carlos Muge. He brought us safely through the hundreds of miles from one place to another and cared about us more than expected.

Wonderful trip to Masai Mara Thank you Mufasa Tours for a wonderful 3 days Safari in Masai Mara. We stayed at the Sarova Mara game Camp. Really nice tents and very friendly staff. Our guide Julius were amazing. He was very funny and he knew alot about the animals.

Trip of a lifetime! I had such an amazing experience on our 3-night safari through Maasai Mara & Lake Naivasha. Patrick was our guide and he was excellent. I highly recommend that you request him as your guide. He has so much knowledge of the area and the animals you'll see, he's funny & friendly and we had the best time. I haven't laughed so much in ages and felt genuinely sad to say goodbye. The hotels we stayed at (Masai Mara Sopa & Lake Naivasha Sopa) were great - especially Lake Naivasha...just fabulous! The Big Five in one day! We had the most amazing and memorable Safari with Mufasa. From the first email, we could tell that they were true experts and going above and beyond to help organise a Safari according to our needs. Caroline was super helpful, quick in her response, and she prepared several itineraries until we found the perfect trip for us: A seven day Safari including Amboseli NP, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara. Mufasa took great care of everything, which made the holiday super relaxed. Not only the different National Parks with their incredible variety of animals and beatuftiful lodges (in particular The Cliff and Tawi lodge were breathtaking!), but also our guide Collin made our trip unforgettable. We can‘t recommend him enough: very experienced, knowledgeable, and fun to be around with - a strong and caring character. He made us feel at ease and safe from the very beginning, and he found the perfect balance of respecting our privacy, chatting and explaining us more about Kenya, it's culture, history, flora and fauna. Every single morning, Collin awaited us with a big smile on his face and with the car in an impeccable condition. He was very attentive to the small details, which made the Safari the perfect trip.
Speaking of being attentive, Collin is an absolute superstar when it comes to spotting animals. Thanks to him, we not only saw every single animal we could think of (lions, cheetas, leopard, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, baboons, hippos, rhinos, elephants, antilopes, ostriches, a variety of birds) but also took the most beautiful pictures, as Collin has a trained eye for photography and always found the perfect angle. As if that wasn't enough, on our last full day game drive, Collin went above and beyond and managed to spot the Big Five in one single day - what a legend! Thanks Mufasa and Collin for creating memories of a lifetime!

A breathtaking safari in the Masai Mara and Lake Naivasha A truly excellent service from our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Kephar! His attention to detail and easy going attitude made for a really fantastic trip.
Joel (in the booking office) was on hand via email and watsapp to help us plan our trip weeks in advance of our arrival. He helped us by answering queries about our visas and travel documents prior to arrival.

The Safari you Dream of My friends and I just finished a great 6 days Safari to Amboseli, Lake Navasha and Masai Mara. The lodges were beautiful and We saw all the vild animals you Dream on. Our guide Kephar just know where to find them, is a very good driver and has a great sence of humor. We could not ask for more. I highly recommend Mufasa Tours and Travels.
