The Land Of Giants

Renowned for two things: being the best place in Africa to get up close to free-ranging elephants and offering the most iconic view of Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peaks. Located on the border of Kenya and Tanzania, this 392-square-kilometer park is a photographer’s paradise where the «Salty Dust» (the Maasai meaning of Amboseli) meets lush, emerald-green swamps.

What to expect

✓ The Wildlife — Home to the «Big Four» (Lions, Leopards, Buffalo, and massive herds of African Elephants). It is specifically famous for its «Great Tuskers»—ancient elephants with ivory reaching the ground.

✓ The Landscape — A dramatic contrast of dry, shimmering lake beds and cooling springs fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro.

Best time to visit

During the dry Season, animals congregate around the swamps; easiest for wildlife spotting and on the rainy season its best for birdwatchers and the clearest views of the mountain.

Aunque la fauna es la estrella, Amboseli ofrece diversas formas de sumergirse en la naturaleza africana.

- Safaris guiados: Explora el parque en nuestros Land Cruisers personalizados 4×4 con techos elevables. Nuestros guías expertos conocen los lugares secretos donde se esconden los leones y donde los elefantes cruzan los pantanos.
- Observación: Sube a pie el único punto más alto del parque. Ofrece una vista panorámica de 360 grados de los pantanos, llanuras y la montaña. Es el lugar perfecto para un picnic.
- Safaris en globo aerostático: Flota silenciosamente sobre las manadas al amanecer. No hay experiencia más mágica que ver el Kilimanjaro volverse rosa desde el cielo. (Disponible como complemento opcional).
- Visitas culturales masái: Visita un Manyatta local (aldea) para aprender sobre las antiguas tradiciones, el vibrante trabajo con cuentas y las danzas de salto del pueblo masái que ha coexistido con esta fauna durante siglos.
