A Kaleidoscope of Color & Conservation
Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya’s most iconic Rift Valley destinations. Originally famous for the millions of flamingos that turned its shores into a shimmering pink carpet, the park has evolved into a premier sanctuary for endangered species. Encircled by rocky escarpments and pockets of yellow-barked acacia forests, this «Premium Park» offers a compact yet incredibly dense wildlife experience just a few hours’ drive from Nairobi.

What to expect
-
The Rhino Stronghold: Nakuru is one of the best places in East Africa to see both Black and White Rhinos in their natural habitat.
-
Birding Spectacle: While flamingo levels vary with water depths, the lake remains a haven for over 450 bird species, including Great White Pelicans, African Fish Eagles, and Hamerkops.
-
Rare Sightings: It is one of the few places in Kenya to see the endangered Rothschild’s Giraffe and is famously known for its «tree-climbing» lions and elusive leopards.
-
The Landscape: From the shimmering alkaline lake to the largest Euphorbia (cactus-like tree) forest in Africa, the scenery is a photographer’s dream.
