The Land Of Giants
Renowned for two things: being the best place in Africa to get up close to free-ranging elephants and offering the most iconic view of Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peaks. Located on the border of Kenya and Tanzania, this 392-square-kilometer park is a photographer’s paradise where the “Salty Dust” (the Maasai meaning of Amboseli) meets lush, emerald-green swamps.

What to expect
✓ The Wildlife — Home to the “Big Four” (Lions, Leopards, Buffalo, and massive herds of African Elephants). It is specifically famous for its “Great Tuskers”—ancient elephants with ivory reaching the ground.

Best time to visit
During the dry Season, animals congregate around the swamps; easiest for wildlife spotting and on the rainy season its best for birdwatchers and the clearest views of the mountain.

Begeleide safari’s: Verken het park in onze op maat gemaakte 4×4 Land Cruisers met opklapbare daken. Onze deskundige gidsen kennen de geheime plekken waar de leeuwen zich verstoppen en waar de olifanten de moerassen oversteken.

Observatieheuvel: Wandel naar het enige hoogste punt van het park. Het biedt een panoramisch 360-graden uitzicht op de moerassen, vlaktes en de berg. Het is de perfecte plek voor een picknicklunch.

Heteluchtballonsafari’s: Zweef stilletjes boven de kuddes bij zonsopgang. Er is geen ervaring magischer dan het zien van Kilimanjaro die roze wordt vanuit de lucht. (Beschikbaar als optionele add-on).

Maasai Culturele Bezoeken: Bezoek een lokaal Manyatta (dorp) om te leren over de oude tradities, het levendige kralenwerk en de springdansen van het Maasai-volk, dat al eeuwenlang met deze fauna samenleeft.

Bush Breakfasts & Sundowners: Sluit je dag af met een “Sundowner”—gekoelde drankjes en voorgerechten geserveerd midden in de savanne terwijl de zon achter de berg ondergaat.
