This 4-day Uganda safari combines city exploration, scenic road travel, wildlife encounters, cultural experiences, and a relaxing boat cruise. The journey begins with arrival at Entebbe and transfer to Kampala, with an optional city tour depending on arrival time. You will then travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Fort Portal, enjoying views of tea estates, the Rwenzori Mountains, and a stop at the Equator before an evening game drive. The adventure continues with a wildlife game drive, a visit to Lake Katwe to learn about traditional salt mining, and a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you can observe animals and birds along the water. The safari concludes with a return journey to Entebbe, including another Equator stop for photos and souvenir shopping before your flight home.

DAY 1: ENTEBBE FLY TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

  • Fly from Entebbe to Kihihi airstrip, soaring over Uganda’s lush hills and forests.
  • Meet your guide and transfer to your lodge arriving for lunch and check in.
  • Enjoy a scenic community nature walk on the forest’s edge.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs lodge.

DAY 2: ENTEBBE TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK VIA FORT PORTAL

  • Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park headquarters at 8:00 AM for a mandatory ranger briefing on trekking rules.
  • Hike into the dense, steep jungle with expert trackers; the trek lasts between 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla family’s location.
  • Spend a magical, strict maximum of one hour watching the mountain gorillas feed, groom, and interact.
  • Return to the lodge for a well-earned rest and an evening Batwa pygmies community tour or cultural village walk.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs lodge.

DAY 3: GAME DRIVE TO LAKE KATWE AND BOAT RIDE

  • Enjoy a relaxed breakfast with panoramic views over the Bwindi forest canopy.
  • Transfer back to the local airstrip for your return domestic flight to Entebbe International Airport.
  • Connect with your outbound international evening flight home.
